This was to be a half day walk for me as I had done Seatown to Lyme Regis vis Golden Cap with CHA in the rain and mist in 2009.
It was a bright sunny morning as we bid farewell to Seaton and set off along the promenade.

Once up on to the cliff top much of the morning's walk was through the Axemouth to Lyme Regis Undercliffs National Nature Reserve which was created by several landslips over the years and has become a significant wilderness area.

We had our lunch stop at Lyme Regis and then Margaret departed to walk to Charmouth along the beach and then up on to Golden Cap before descending to Seatown where I met up with her.

My walk was almost finished for the day so I spent some time in Lyme Regis and then caught an extremely crowded bus (school children) to Chideock to find the B&B for tonight before walking down to Seatown to meet up with Margaret
I must say that the weather was much better than last time I was here in 2009!

A fine end to the day and a short walk to Chideock and a meal at the Clock Inn. The thatched cottage was once the headquarters of the Roundheads during the English Civil War Years and you can read more about it
here. It was lovely but ts situated on a very busy main road with heavy good vehicles passing even through the night, We signed their petition for a by-pass before we left. You could feel the house moving when the lorries thundered past.
