Day 3 Abbotsbury to Weymouth 12

This was the beginning of my little holiday in Weymouth while Margaret walked the sections I had already done, but first I had a small section to catch up on from last time.
I originally walked this section with Anita in 2014 and these are the photos I took then.

The Fleet

The Fleet is the area of water between Chesil Beach and the mainland and is supposed to be a haven for wild life but we didn't see much during our walk. It was very muddy when we did it and not a particularly appealing stretch of the SWCP. I had a short section to complete starting at Chesil Beach and walking towards Abbotsbury.

My afternoon was spent at the Chesil Beach visitor centre and walking again on the beach which was easier this time as the pebbles were larger.

180 billion pebbles, who on earth counted them!! Anyway it was very interesting at the visitor centre and well worth a visit. Margaret arrived there shortly after I had left. This is the only day when we had any rain and that was only for about an hour in the afternoon.
